This spectacular antique Victorian French necklace is set with rich purple natural Amethysts that are complimented by sparkling Marcasites. Circa 1900

Adorned with 10 Amethyst stones that sit around a circular pendant with a lovely little bow sat above encrusted with Marcasites too.

Over 12ct of deep Purple Amethysts in total.

The Purple Amethyst has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and legendary powers to stimulate, and soothe the mind and emotion.

Marcasite's are also known as black Diamonds, they sparkle and shimmer just like real Diamonds. Marcasite jewellery has been made since the time of the Ancient Greeks. It was particularly popular in the 18th century, the Victorian era and with Art Nouveau jewellery designers.
